Industry Diversification & Digital Sales Manager
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Sales Targets and Forecasting
- Deliver high accuracy monthly POR forecasting, ensuring delivery for projects and base business within direct report accounts
- Build mid Quarter POR forecasting reporting sheets
- Set annual sales targets for direct reports aligning to the BUB process, ensuring direct reports meet/exceed these
Team Development
- Build a successful sales team by actively coaching, attracting and developing key talent
- Conduct reviews and set KPI’s with team to foster personal development of team members and in line with business needs
- Track and report team members’ monthly visits, calls and sales activities
Market and Business Understanding
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats for Measurement Solutions
- Capture and analyze competitor intelligence to advise strategic decisions and stay ahead in the market
- Participate in the DOA setting and authorization process, working closely with Product Managers and direct reports to improve pricing opportunities
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Collaborate with the UK&I MSOL Leadership Team, building and implementing growth-oriented sales strategies, including growth in new markets
- Lead regular sales reviews MSOL Leadership Team to continuously improve sales management processes
- Work with Product Managers/BDMs ensuring successful new product adoption and other business leaders to enhance potential for Emerson UK&I
Sales Enablement
- Detailed process and tracking is in place for quote follow up
- Ensure team attends sales proficiency training courses provided by Commercial Excellence Europe and apply learn, and that the team have extensive awareness of all products and services offered by Measurement Solutions
- Handle account assignments, increasing impact for MSOL Business
- Ensure the team effectively use existing and new digital sales tools (e.g. CRM tool to track customer interactions, sales pipeline and performance metrics)
- Create and maintain a focus on price realization culture
- Transition qualified accounts to ADCs network
- Drive innovation and implement methodologies within the sales process, exploring new methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Customer Engagement
- Conduct regular reviews with teams to ensure value creation plans and account mapping are in place
- Support customer visits and calls with direct reports, maintaining positive relationships with key customers to foster loyalty and long-term partnership
Other Responsibilities
- Provide sales support for accounts not covered by available resources and assigning resources in a timely manner in coordination with the Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with Leadership Teams to gain internal support for sales activities
- Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements regarding trade and ethical business practices.
- Continuously improve personal knowledge and skills to maintain high job standards
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Educated to HNC and/or Degree level in Engineering field or equivalent
- Background experience in Sales and Engineering
- Track record of sales management and direct selling in a B2B environment
- Ability to work with the Emerson portfolio – technical expertise, appreciation and ability to understand product applications.
- Flexible to travel in order to fulfil duties of the role.
