• Lead research projects in AI, exploring new algorithms, techniques, and methodologies to solve challenging problems and advance the state-of-the-art.
• Conduct experiments, analyse data, and evaluate the performance of AI models using benchmark datasets and real-world applications.
• Design and implement scalable and efficient algorithms for training and inference, considering factors such as computational complexity, memory usage, and runtime performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI algorithms into production systems and optimize end-to-end performance.
• Optimize AI models and algorithms for deployment in resource-constrained environments, such as edge devices or cloud platforms.
• Communicate research findings, technical concepts, and project updates effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experiment with new tools, frameworks, and platforms to explore innovative approaches and techniques in AI.
• Drive innovation within the organization by proposing and championing new ideas, projects, and initiatives that leverage AI technology to create value.
• Implement and validate predictive and prescriptive models, create and maintain statistical models with a focus on data.
• Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in application of machine learning, statistical techniques in one or more of below areas:
  • Deep learning, LLMs, NLPs, Gen AI, vision computing solutions
  • Logistics network optimization
  • Inventory management & forecasting
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI research, such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MATLAB. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate and solve complex technical challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to drive research projects from conception to completion, delivering impactful results.
• Passion for AI technology and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Ability to look at things differently, debug, troubleshoot, design and implement solutions to complex technical issues.
• Basic understanding of Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
