Working Pattern: 36 hours per week 4 days on 4 days off, Mon to Fri 06:00 to 16:50, Sat to Sun 06:00 to 16:40.

Job Details
Based at Bankhead Service Centre, the successful candidate will be required to inspect, maintain, and repair the Council’s fleet of assets within a team setting, or on their own, carrying out assigned work to a high standard and good practice that will contribute to an effective service delivery.
Work must be carried out in a manner that positively contributes to a high quality, responsive and cost-effective service which meets service and customer expectations.
The Person
- Time-served HGV Mechanic as recognised by an Industry Board.
- City & Guilds Certificates in required trade and/or equivalent SVQ level 3 attainments.
- Approved qualification or experience in vehicle diagnostics.
- Extensive experience in maintaining vehicles, HGV, Plant, and equipment. You should be able to use your own initiative, work independently and as part of a team, and have experience in prioritising your own workload and managing your time whilst having the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Health and Safety awareness and understanding to the appropriate role and vehicle repairs.
