We are seeking a talented and passionate QA Team Leader to join our team for a Finance Modernisation assignment.
Next Technology is collaborating with Next Finance on an extensive strategic initiative to modernise and transform our finance systems and processes using Oracle Fusion. We are looking for a talented QA Team Leader to join our experienced team which supports a range of financial applications and services across the business. As we undertake our modernisation journey, you will play a crucial role in driving change and showcasing your abilities.

And you’ll provide a consistent approach that keeps every part of our varied product chain in check. Together, we’ll keep every cog and multiple wheels spinning within this well-oiled machine.
The responsibilities
- Be a force for implementing processes which will drive improved quality and the effectiveness of our software development lifecycle.
- Liaise with developers and management to assist in the development process.
- Coach and mentor your team of testers, developing technical and behavioural skills and promoting a learning culture within the Tech function.
- Be the technical point of contact for the business to advise and guide on proposed testing and highlight risks.
- Put your initiative to work, planning for technical developments, adding to sprint sessions, making key recommendations, and keeping us ahead in the tech market.
- Research, analyse, and evaluate alternative solutions, including business process changes, recommending the most applicable and cost-effective options.
- Foster strong relationships with finance stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
About You
- Qualified QA specialist with experience leading key projects, testing at multiple points within the tech lifecycle, and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborative leader with the ability to manage the technical aspect of their teams and projects.
- Natural problem solver with a logical approach to testing software and implementing processes.
- Organised professional with the knowledge and authority to plan for the future – providing key inputs that allow us to develop plans and schedules for tomorrow’s retail environment.
- Bold challenger with a passion for delivering smarter ways of working and for automating the everyday.
- Naturally inquisitive leader who always keeps an eye on what the market brings.
- Experience working in an Oracle Fusion Financials environment would be advantageous.
- Experience with ERP systems, Integration & API testing and stakeholder management is essential.
In addition, we’re looking for you to be:
- Able to speak, read and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role, for example, to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members
- Experienced in effectively working in a collaborative manner in a large scale, fast paced environment within a multifunctional technical team
You’ll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office on a hybrid basis.
