Here at Next, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Retail Marketing Operations team as a Marketing Coordinator.
In this role you will coordinate key marketing projects, promotions, campaigns and events predominantly for NEXT retail stores working closely with relevant internal departments, retail stores, the retail field team and external contractors and suppliers.
This could include;
- New, Refit & Closure Store Marketing
- Coordinate various stretch fabric programme changeovers
- Coordinate in store seasonal promotions
- Ad-hoc projects / promotion requests from the Field Team
- Point of contact for Commercial Services, Warehousing & Distribution for marketing operations projects & promotions
This role will also require involvement with key brand partners, such as Victoria’s Secret, GAP and Joules, to assist with their physical print or general marketing requirements.
Responsibilities
Coordination:
- Implement projects, promotions and campaigns for the marketing operations department in line with the critical path to ensure the required deadlines are achieved.
- Take responsibility for relevant projects, promotions and campaigns, including research, purchasing, allocation, delivery and communication.
- Ensure progress on relevant projects and promotions are discussed with Marketing Operations Manager at each stage and meet agreed budgets.
- Where required, coordinate with other internal departments to ensure relevant information and assets are used for projects, promotions and campaigns.
- Where required, coordinate with external suppliers to ensure that all physical assets for marketing projects are produced & delivered within agreed timescales & budget
Communication:
- Maintain close relationships with all internal stakeholders, such as Shopfitting, Graphics, Brand Marketing & Distribution, to ensure you have the relevant information and assets for projects, promotions and campaigns.
- Maintain good relationships with external suppliers / contractors to ensure that they deliver any projects, promotions and campaigns they are involved in to the highest standards.
- Communicate effectively on marketing projects, promotions and campaigns to all relevant departments within NEXT, including our retail field sales team.
- Produce all written communication for stores on relevant projects, promotions and campaigns to ensure the stores can implement them successfully, including coordinating with other departments to ensure all relevant information is included.
- Provide support for the retail stores on any queries they have around marketing projects, promotions and campaigns.
Other:
- Able to effectively research any new projects, whether for NEXT or Brand Partners, and ensure presentations show findings clearly and concisely
- Involvement with the distribution of marketing allocations, via Bristol warehouse, including communication of key dates and discussions on assisting warehouse to meet deadlines set.
- Attend meetings with both internal & external stakeholders, in Head Office and at external venues, as required.
- Support and work collaboratively with the rest of the marketing operations team with other projects, promotions and campaigns.
- Support the Marketing Operations Manager, as and when required, with any internal or external NEXT events, such as Retail Conference and retail-related pop-up events.
About You
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent communicator with an ability to communicate at all levels
- Great organisational skills, as will be involved in multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work as part of a team or individually
- Proficient in G-Suite - G-Mail, Google Sheets, Docs and Slides
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in a marketing environment & / or a store environment
- Experience in coordinating retail marketing projects, including physical print & promotional marketing
- Knowledge of Word & Excel
- Advantage if has experience with: - NPPG, NAP, Mainframe
