Facilities Engineer
Job Summary

Based in Singapore, the Facilities Engineer will perform hands-on troubleshooting of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) problems and be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance servicing programs for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installations, Public Announcement (PA) system, Audio Visual (AV) equipment, Fire Protection Systems, Security systems.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) problems (replace fused light tubes, reset Electrical Distribution Board tripped circuit breakers – low voltage) and carry out general repairs as needed (door locks/closers, cabinet locks, sanitary ware).
- Conduct periodic site walks to ensure facilities premises in working condition and identify issues for rectification.
- Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance servicing programs for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installations, Public Announcement (PA) system, Audio Visual (AV) equipment, Fire Protection Systems, Security systems.
- Direct and oversees repairs by contractors/vendors; monitor vendors’ services for effectiveness, cost and quality control and recommend improvements as needed.
- Leads and monitors leasehold improvement works, liaise with external consultants ensuring Additional & Alteration (A&A) works conform to specifications and government authority requirement.
- Maintain and updates drawings, manuals, documentation connected with Mechanical & Electrical installations.
- Lead and deliver ad hoc projects as required.
- Provide excellent service and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels.
- Ensure compliance of workplace safety rules, including but not limited to the usage of a personal protective equipment, if provided to you, while working; not involve in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger peers or oneself; reporting unsafe work conditions and providing suggestions to improve safety/ health at work, as needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of building Mechanical & Electrical services (including troubleshooting faults and failure) and facilities management practices including energy management.
- Independent with integrity, innovative, able to work with minimal supervision and perform under pressure.
- Able to work well in a team with leadership quality; service oriented and commitment to service excellence.
- Able to work weekends.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Diploma in Building/Estate Management or its equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications; knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
