A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Social Worker within our Reviewing Team, which is part of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership.  

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, competent confident social work practitioners who are able to work creatively and independently in supporting adults and older people and their families. The task will also involve co-ordinating, conducting comprehensive and holistic reviews of support to ensure they meet the needs and goals of people we support. Collaboration with other internal teams, multi disciplinary teams and external agencies is required.

The Person 

You will be required to demonstrate knowledge and skills in working within a statutory Adults and Older People setting. You will have a sound understanding of theory, policy and legislation in relation to adults across the lifespan and be confident in the use of these within assessments and reviews. 

You must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team and display excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to engage with adults and their families and display a clear understanding of their needs. 

Effective time management is essential for the successful autonomous worker to manage a complex caseload with the ability to be flexible and respond to crisis / competing demands being integral to the role. 

Ability to travel within Fife 

Social Workers must be qualified with a BA (Hons)/MSc in Social Work prior to applying. 

You will be required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning CPL (continued professional learning) over the first registration period.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
