About the team
Our huge warehouse estate in Yorkshire is held together by the Warehouse team, the warehouses have an enormous amount of tech that allow us to receive, store, pick and pack items for our customers - handling everything from socks to sofas! The Warehouse team focuses heavily on automation which includes 40 miles of conveyor linking everything together across our sites, hundreds of storage and picking robots - a very fast moving, continuously changing part of NEXT Technology.
About the Role
The Team Leader works closely with the Product Development Manager to manage the team’s pro-active support of the multi-platform systems applications for the business area.
You will:
- Manage the second line support team’s incidents and requests, ensuring that these are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Measure the effectiveness of the second line support team and manage proactive initiatives to improve systems and processes.
- Lead and coach a team of .net C# developers, identifying training requirements and managing performance.
- Manage the small projects team to ensure that the backlog is worked in a timely manner
- Be the driving force for change and moving the team forward

- Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
- Team player who is hardworking and self-motivated
- Able to work to strict deadlines remaining positive and calm under pressure
- Good understanding of development best practices and methodologies
- Technical in client server based skills
