CHILD SAFEGUARDING: (select only one)
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
• To assist the Field Office in safe implementation of program with the guidance of Support & Liaison Coordinator by making sure field offices operate mitigation measure identified in Security Risk Analysis.
• To meet security standards of Save the Children and staff are compliance with security policy and practices.
• In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
• Collect, analysis, and share safety and security information. Provide safety and security related training and support to staff in assigned area through consultation with Support & Liaison Coordinator Safety & Security Coordinator.

Staff reporting to this post: Security Guard and Daily Wages Guards
Budget Responsibilities: No financial approval
Role Dimensions: Regular contact of basic factual information and communication based on contextual security situation
Travel: At least a week per months
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
• Ensure the adherence of security and safety guidelines by all staff at field offices.
• Identify risk, mitigation measure, gap and support needed and facilitate to fullfial the gap by close collaboration with field office.
• Provide Safety and Security Induction to new joining staff within a week after joining date. Make Sure all new staff and in assigned area pass the Personal Safety and Security course and get certificate of completion, Staff with invalid certificate to renew the PSS.
• Collect the staff information and support to fill in the some kind of security system.
• Monitor the implementation of security and safety guidelines and submit reports on finding and recommendation to Support & Liaison Coordinator and Safety & Security Coordinator in monthly.
• Providing Face to Face Security Briefing to visitors to Field with record keeping. Update the security briefing package as required and prepare presentation slides.
• Conduct monthly discussion with SSFP (Safety and Security Focal Person) and sharing information.
• Carry out and Update Security Risk Analysis for field offices collaboration with Support & Liaison Coordinator and SSFP. Provide safety and security guidance due to findings of analysis.
• Ensure security equipment are fully in placed in every field office such as fire extinguishers, First Aid Kits, Helmet, and Lifejacket. That equipment is checked and fulfilled regularly.
• Preparing security plans such as Evacuation/Relocation plan, Safety and Security Management Plan, Communication Tree, Security annual work plan etc.., for field office. Support in conducting drills.
• All security related incidents are monitored, recorded and report including developing incident tracker to Support & Liaison Coordinator and Safety & Security Coordinator.
• Shared the update situation and recommendation to related field office in Rakhine.
• Encouraging to Tsp: S&S Focal to develop Tsp communication tree and emergency contact listed and checking the accuracy.
• Ensure all updated safety and local information about Villages, IDP camps is shared to Sittwe area office in time.
• Ensure to support and actively participate at any emergency response in the assigned area.
• Supervise and support provide guideline to the Security Guards in the TKP Office
• Head count and follow up activities in the assigned area.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High school or equivalent education
• University graduated with any specialization is preferable.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
• Experience with Safety & Security related at emergency situation.
• Any working experience in social welfare or business sectors.
• Experience or willing in working at hard to reach/ remote areas with limited resources.
• Respect the local culture, belief and tradition and eager to learn from community. Understanding of local dialects is preferable.
• Strong commitment and dedication for development of grass root people.
• Good team member and willing to work with various type of people.
• Computer proficiency (at least MS and Excel)
Desireable
• Willing and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to be respectful and empathise with all beneficiaries and their caretakers. Willingness to learn from community.
• Fluency in written and spoken local language.
• Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values, and principles.
Skills and Experience:
• At least 1 year experience in related field (assistant level)
Education:
• Secondary school education (Matriculation)
• Any Bachelor Degree
Communication and Technical Skills
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent personal organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to field offices and work in difficult environment according to travel requirements.
• Advanve level of Microsoft Package with Powerpoint, Adobe Maker, Google Mapping and Outlook smail & Internet.
Management:
• Strong significant people management skills/experience and proven ability to create an environment which encourages team-working and motivates a team across various geographical areas.
• At least 1 years of management experience
General:
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation developing effective working relationships to deliver outstanding results for children
• Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles.
• Willingness and capability to comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to health and safety, security, equal opportunities and other relevant policies, including the Child Safeguarding Policy
