Grade UE06: £32,982.00 to £38,205.00 Per Annum, Pro-rata.

CAHSS / Edinburgh College of Art.

A minimum of 12 hours for each course will be offered between September 2024 and July 2025 with a variable guarantee renewed annually.

This role is open-ended (Permanent)

Applications are invited for a Guaranteed Hours (GH) contract as a tutor in 

  • Documentary Film Development DESI11123
  • Filming your documentary DESI11125
  • Finalising Your Documentary: The Edit DESI11124

The Opportunity: 

Film and TV are looking for a tutor with international experience in documentary filmmaking practice to join a team assisting with tutoring, feedback and assessment during the 2024-25 academic year. The course sits within an established programme and with specified learning outcomes, as part of the postgraduate programme in MA Film Directing.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Experienced documentary filmmaker able to evidence practice at an international level (Desirable).
  • Ability to work within a team with a collegial attitude, respect and sensitivity toward students and other staff members
  • Ability to apply professional practice experience from real-life situations to enhance student understanding
  • An enthusiastic, positive and creative approach to teaching
