Contracts Support Officer 

Edinburgh Research Office (“ERO”)  

UE05: £27,979.00 - £32.332.00 Per Annum.

Full time 35 hours per week

Open ended

 

The Role

We are looking for a Contracts Support Officer to play a key role in the delivery of the University of Edinburgh’s Research Contracts service. You will work closely with a team of Contracts Support Officers, contract specialists and solicitors providing administrative support to the Research Contracts team who provide a high-quality legal and research contract service for the University’s academic and professional services staff.

The Opportunity

Edinburgh Research Office has an exciting opportunity for a well organised, professional, approachable and self-motivated administrator who is looking for an open-ended full time role. You will work closely with four other contract support officers who play an important role in our busy and forward-looking team of around 20 contract specialists to provide a high quality research contracts service for the University. 

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, have good communication skills and a strong command of the English language. You will be able to demonstrate a close attention to detail and be able to plan and prioritise your own work effectively, using initiative, and have a pro-active approach to seeking out information. An ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, and you will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and good IT skills across a range of different types of systems/software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Email and the internet, document management systems).

Research Contracts Team 

The Research Contracts team is a team of solicitors and contract specialists who work closely with the University of Edinburgh research and professional services communities, as well as with external stakeholders, to provide expert legal advice in respect of a range of research related agreements and delivers a high-quality research contracts service to support the University’s strategic research goals.
