Head of Product Marketing, Asset Management, Executive Director
The regional Product & Content Marketing team serves as the brand ambassador and voice of the firm promoting our brand and capabilities. The team delivers and promotes the firm’s intellectual capital covering markets, thought leadership, investment strategies and product solutions across a variety of offline and online communication channels. In addition to developing content and managing the production process, the team drives client engagement and business impact through ongoing review of content quality with active use of data.
As an Asset Management, APAC Product & Content Marketing, Executive Director you will be responsible for innovating and driving stronger client engagement, which will be instrumental in achieving success. You will need a robust understanding of the asset management industry, markets, products, product vehicles (including ETF) and client needs, along with exceptional investment writing and content marketing skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Staying ahead of the competition and client demand, whilst developing and implementing the APAC product and content marketing strategy to further strengthen our brand leadership, promote our Insights and capabilities to drive client acquisition and deep client relationships
- Being a subject matter expert on active strategies across asset class across vehicles including ETF
- Leading the promotion of product diversification with our all-rounded capabilities to meet evolving needs of each APAC markets
- Formulating engaging content in different formats for different channels to drive product interests, consideration and deepen client relationships
- Generating investment themes and writing investment content to align with business priorities, covering thought leadership, investment strategies, and product solutions targeting institutions, intermediaries/financial advisors, end investors, and any specific segments across markets within APAC
- Innovating content delivery and adopting data-driven approaches to drive strong client engagement
- Engaging with the business, subject matter experts (SMEs), and various teams within Marketing
- Demonstrating marketing and editorial skills to make each piece of content on-brand, relevant, differentiated, engaging, thought-provoking, and actionable
- Taking the initiative to provide solutions to ensure Compliance requirements are met and firm priorities are aligned with
- Contributing to strategic marketing priorities to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness through leverage, process streamlining, optimization and/or innovations
- Driving projects and performing duties as and when required
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, journalism or other relevant field, with demonstrated experience and success as a writer in the industry
- A minimum of 15 years investment/financial writing experience, with a proven understanding of financials, economic and investment concepts, asset management industry, products and customer behavior
- Displays a reporter-like tenacity to get on the calendar of senior-level subject matter experts when necessary to react to market events, generate high-quality content under tight deadlines
- Demonstrates ability to turn complex financial subject matters into compelling stories that effectively promotes the firm’s capabilities, engages the target audience, and drives the desired actions
- Effective interviewing skills; demonstrated ability to synthesize various viewpoints and translate those views into thoughtful marketing and educational pieces
- Passionate about creating client engaging content and keen on evaluating content impact for continuous improvement
- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills to lead teams and coordinate efforts across markets
- Excellent time management and project management skills and the ability to coordinate editorial projects with multiple departments
- Process-driven, attention to detail and proven experience of managing content production processes
- Digital and social savvy; with proven experience in data-driven approaches to content engagement
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin or another Asian language as this is a regional role providing support to various markets
- Relevant experience across APAC markets is a plus
