Payroll Supervisor
Job Description
To ensure for the payroll supervision of all employees hired at the company, ensuring their timely and accurate payment, aligning with all internal policies of the company, adhering to the fiscal, legal and regulatory requirements that apply to the process, the coordination of unqualified opinions and the preparation of financial reports inherent to the payroll.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Supervise the proper communication between HRIS and plant for the preparation of payroll for administrative and unionized personnel.
2. Supervise the compliance in due time and form with the calculations and payments of governmental obligations (IMSS, Infonavit, SAR, State Taxes, Infonacot).
3. Supervise the attention of Internal and External Audits in the area of payroll.
4.Supervise the process of payment of other benefits that affect the perceptions related to payroll.
5.Supervise the integrity of the SAT payroll viewer vs. payroll accounting.
6.Supervise the proper functioning and internal control of the attendance systems that impact payroll calculations, ensuring the proper processing of incidents.
7.Oversee the proper follow up of ADP & e time performance review tickets.
8.Coordinate and provide information according to schedules for the preparation of annual opinions ensuring a clean opinion.
9.Coordinate the preparation of the annual Payroll Labor Liabilities Study.
10. Coordinate semi-annual and annual processes of payments to employees.
11.Coordination of Treasury-Payroll information with our Shared Services Center in Costa Rica.
12.Prepare and deliver reports derived from the payroll with the frequency established in the Monthly Activities Calendar & MEXGAAP & USGAAP taxes.
13.Prepare annual wage and salary budget and monthly projection calculations by business unit.
14.Prepare and coordinate the process of approval, payment and accounting of terminations and severance payments.
15.Elaborate calculations of special requests for retroactive payroll payments.
16.Lead continuous improvement projects for the payroll area.
17.Comply with Quality standards, ESH and internal work regulations set by the company.
Who you are:
As a Payroll Supervisor as part of the Finance Team, you`re pivotal for ensuring top-notch customer service and operational support. Your expertise spans all facets of payroll operations, enabling you to act as a crucial link between departments and collaborators. Your duties include issue resolution, system testing, payroll accuracy maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Your meticulous approach and dedication contribute significantly to achieving interpersonal goals.
For this role, you will need:
- Bachelor`s Degree in Payroll, Business, Accountant or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of related work experience, preferably in a multi-division, multi-state environment.
- Proficiency Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Verbal and written with multi-disciplines from the clerical level to senior management
- Knowledge tax laws and setup to ensure proper taxation on paychecks
- Ability to show promptness and vitality in recognizing the priority of tasks
- Ability and willingness to accept change
- Ability to function effectively in a rapid-paced environment
- To resolve problems and prevent them from reoccurring
- Must be meticulous and conscious of data confidentiality requirements
- Ability to understand processes without every detail needing to be defined
Preferred qualifications that set you a part:
- Experience with Oracle applications would be preferred.
- Experience with SAP/Global View would be preferred.
