The Dispatcher will work to ensure provide world class customer service to Hertz customer throughout the car rental process, along with showing ownership to help ensure customers have a positive experience. The key responsibilities and accountabilities for the incumbent are defined below:
1. Pre-assign reservations not auto assigned
Choice Web App (CWA) will automatically assign ~80% of reservations
- Ensure Transporters stall specific reserved equipment as needed
- Pre-assign certain reservations for Gold and non-Gold (e.g., Platinum, special equipment, etc.)
- Manually add certain Gold reservations to board
2. Manage the Lot
Redirect Transporters as needed to achieve the desired vehicle mix (i.e., class, miles, N/L) and quantity (i.e., hourly inventory vs. reservations) in each zone of the lot
- Ensure an adequate supply of up-sell inventory is available in Reserved zone for counter CSRs
- Conduct lot check hourly to ensure cars are stalled successfully.
3. Prevent Vehicle Holds in Choice Lots
Monitor in real-time the Holding Tank (Fuel Island) and ensure non-rentable cars are moved out of stalls.
