Document Services Project Manager

The Project Manager will be responsible for the management, coordination and delivery of the MFD & ebilling projects as well as any other projects assigned within Document Services for HESC UK & Ireland and European Field & Corporate Technology Services . Document Services includes but is not limited to hard copy records management and retention, electronic document processing & scanning, electronic records management, and asset management.  This person should serve as an internal consulting leader to structure and lead projects approved by senior leadership and work collaboratively with the business and technology leaders to deliver.

 

A Day in the Life- What You’ll Do:

  • To work with the Hertz business and 3rd party vendors to help implement projects across Europe involving electronic invoicing, multi-functional devices and other technology projects as requested.
  • Provide operational review and identify, prioritise, manage and execute projects that reduce waste, drive efficiencies, implement client standards and practices, and reduce cost within the assigned region
  • Authoring of all project documentation including Hertz and 3rd party technical and functional descriptions, process documentation, project documentation, stakeholder reporting and effective communication of project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Own project status, reporting, and prioritisation for Hertz
  • Direct and motivate project teams.
  • Manage projects in the Project Management Office methodology, with regular status updates and financial benefit tracking as required.
  • Drive on-time completion of projects.
  • Identify and leverage best practices between sites & production lines. Manage implementation of best practices identified in other areas of the business.
  • Develop & communicate synthesized presentations, summarized to the appropriate level (CEO, EVPs, SVPs, project leadership).
  • To function as a liaison between client operations and project teams in Europe both at team and Snr Mgt level.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Basic training and an understanding of Lean principles and Six Sigma are required.
  • Project management qualifications - minimum of Prince 2, ITIL, PMP or CAPM 
  • 5+ years Project management experience. 
  • Prefer experience with Lean and 5S.
  • Document Management Outsourcing experience preferred.
  • Relevant project management experience: end to end project management, customer facing with senior customer stakeholder engagement, complex time sensitive projects, software / application development
  •  Knowledge of Multi-function office equipment.
  •  Knowledge of electronic invoicing 
  • Knowledge of Canon / Document Services solutions 
  • Microsoft Packages 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  •  Strong project management skills.
  •  Excellent relationship management skills and a strong team approach to business.
  •  Ability to demonstrate sound judgment.
  •  Familiarity with a variety of operational concepts, practices and procedures. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Awareness of business quality standards, including an understanding of at least one methodology e.g. ISO 9000. 
  • Fluency in English required. Additional European language(s) preferred.
  •  Up to 20% travel maybe required; predominantly within Europe (UK, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, BeNeLux).
