Vice President - Order Management - Europe
About the Role
DP World are currently recruiting for a VP Order Management for the Europe region. Reporting to our COO Freight, Europe this role will lead the Order Management business which involves defining the strategy, building commercial capabilities, developing a strong pipeline of opportunities and driving organic growth whilst managing existing partner relations.
How you will contribute
Commercial
- Develop commercial strategy to be deployed in Europe and follow through with execution according to the aligned plan.
- Hire and on-board KAM team to develop and build relations with existing customers direct with DP World at origin/destination in Europe as appropriate.
- Establish solution design and pricing team to support customer engagement and future business organic growth.
- Manage the budget and shadow P&L for the Order Management business.
- Establish a solid pipeline of opportunities and deliver new business wins to drive growth.
- Maintain, at all times, appropriate communication and alignment with the other regional Order Management teams, Head Office pillar and the regional Freight team counter-parts.
- Develop appropriate account growth plans for the key clients with up-selling and selling targets and strategies to increase DP World share of wallet.
Operations
- Identify and define operational requirements in Europe for on-boarding the existing order management business and develop and align the roll-out strategy and execution plan.
- Hire and on-board the operational team members.
- Define the operating model and standard operating procedures, in alignment with the global standards/requirements.
- Define and measure operational performance KPIs and related customer KPIs.
What you will bring
- Educated to degree level in an appropriate area, such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, etc.
- Industry experience in Logistics (min 15 years) at senior leadership level, must have significant leadership experience specifically in Order Management solutions.
- Fluent in oral and written English essential;
- Demonstrates commercial, financial and business acumen.
- Specific experience, and recognised expert, in senior leadership level with Order Management solutions across dimensions: Regional or Global, Origin & Destination, Commercial & Operations.
- Self-starter with the ability to diagnose the requirements, develop and align the strategy, articulate the execution plan and form and lead the team to execute.
- Appreciation and understanding of end-to-end solution design and pricing methodologies and requirements.
- Ability to effectively manage ambiguity and uncertainty through strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to secure buy-in and support for the European Order Management strategy.
- Strong leadership skills to build and lead the team.
