£45,000 - £55,000 base plus benefits
At Next our finance operation manages and reports on the profitability of each of our 450 stores, 70+ websites, the effectiveness of our marketing spend, managing the income from all our sales channels, paying our suppliers and much, much more.
As part of our commitment to innovation, we are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to the enhancement of our data visualisation and reporting capabilities.
About the job:
This is a superb opportunity to join our dynamic Finance Data Analytics team as a Data Analyst. This new team is responsible for delivering reporting and analytical support to key stakeholders across the finance operation & the wider business for a variety of purposes. You will work closely with our Finance team to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide valuable insights into our Finance operations covering Commercial, Operations, Group and New Business.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into solutions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualise key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and trends.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of improvements to existing IT solutions to enhance usability and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technical features and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
- Provide support and training to end-users on how to navigate and utilise PowerBI reports effectively.
About you/Qualifications:
- Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Strong proficiency in developing interactive dashboards and reports.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in Retail is a plus but not essential
